Regular attendance is of utmost importance
in order to gain the full benefit of gymnastic instruction.

Gymnasts are expected to arrive on time
for the session; the coach must be informed if late arrival or early
departure is unavoidable.

The coach must be informed in advance if
gymnasts are unable to attend any sessions.
-
Gymnasts must not arrive too early for the
session to avoid distracting ongoing classes and must wait at the side
until training commences.

Maximum effort is expected at all training
sessions.
-
Misbehaving, constant talking or other
distracting behaviour will not be tolerated.
-
No eating or gum chewing during sessions,
bring water to drink.
-
Trainers are required for outdoor /
warm-up activities.
-
Gymnasts should not support or spot each
other but are expected to work together as a team.
-
Gymnasts who feel unwell or have an injury
must inform the coach before or during the class.

Arrive at
competition venue with sufficient time to warm
up.

Gymnasts must
remain in the competition area for the duration
of the competition.

Parents should
remain in the designated spectator areas.

Gymnasts should
present themselves in proper and neat attire at
all times.

All underwear
including sports bra should not be exposed.
-
Full tracksuit or
jacket should be worn for march on and awards.
-
Strictly no nail
polish to be worn.
-
Gymnasts should
have a copy of their floor music with them at
all times.
-
No food or drink
except bottles of water will be allowed in
competition area.

No
jewellery is allowed during
training or in competitions.

A
leotard must be worn and if
shorts are worn on top they must
be the lycra material.

Competitive leotards should not
be worn at practice unless
instructed by the coach to do
so.

Hair must be tied back.

Strictly no baggy clothing or
socks

To
have a successful programme
there must be complete
understanding and co-operation
between parents, coaches, and
gymnasts.

If
parents can offer an insight on
their child that will enable the
coach to work more effectively
with the child, please do so.

The head coach reserves the
right to withdraw a gymnast from
a competition.
-
If
you have a disagreement with the
coach it is important that you
discuss the matter in private.
Criticising the coach in front
of your child undermines the
coaches’ authority and can cause
hostility in the gym.

Parents should not yell across
the gym or attempt to ‘coach/
their child during training.
-
Siblings should remain with the
parents and not be allowed to
climb on any of the equipment or
run across the gym.
-
Parents are expected to attend
committee meetings and take an
active role in fund raising and
other activities. Important
information is discussed at
meetings therefore attendance is
important.
